It began on October 19, 1953, DZAQ, the forerunner of DZMM was the first radio station of the former ABS (Alto Broadcasting System) of the Quirinos under President Elpidio Quirino's brother, Antonio (originally came from the pre-1953 experimental station DZBC). The station also manages and operates a website, (now /dzmm/home) and social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Some of the station's weekday programming is also simulcast via DYAP Radyo Patrol 765 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It can also be received in the United States on DirecTV Channel 2066.
